The AJF joins RSF’s call for the release of independent Vietnamese journalist Pham Doan Trang who, having been detained for two months already, faces up to twenty years in prison under a charge of ‘anti-government propaganda’.
Pham Doan Trang is reportedly one of Vietnam’s most respected journalists. As a journalist with a long history of credible work, and without evidence of wrongdoing in this instance, Pham Doan Trang should be immediately released.
The AJF seeks to work diplomatically with countries in the region to ensure the public’s right to know is upheld.
